With inspiration from japanese furniture design, traditional Nordic crafts, Swedish solid core pine, and not to forget – brutalism, Brutwork creates a combination of multidimensional Swedish core pine brutalism.

“What would happen if interior designers were offered the possibility to choose weight in similarity to how a graphic designer do when choosing fonts for their composition? In that process the designer chooses a certain basic shape, a typeface, which then can be shaped into light, medium or bold, whichever fits the composition best.”

This type of scale shift is what Fredrik Östergren, founder of Brutwork, explores and offers interior designers and collectors of fine arts and design icons to their spatial compositions.

Brutwork AB is a furniture design company operating on Södermalm in Stockholm. The founder Fredrik Östergren worked during the ‘90s, 00s, and 10s as a graphic designer, Art Director, and Creative Director.

All furniture is made to order and is signed and numbered in a limited edition.
